Scripture Study?
My “sweet” little 2 year old decided to tear out almost the whole book of Judges from my Bible. Not just large sheets but little balled up pieces of Scripture scattered about the room. Luckily for Cate Brian found her and not me. My Bible has survived intact for the past 10 years. Then Cate happened…
Sweet Jesse
Jesse is such a sweet little boy. He is at such a fun stage right now. He laughs and smiles all the time. I love the 3-6 month stage. The first few weeks were pretty tough, but Jesse has gotten much easier. We all love him so much. It is great to hear him laugh. He also loves his brother and sisters. Emma is his mini-mommy. She walks around with him when she can’t bear to hear him cry. I’ll have to post more on that later.
Men hunt for their food
James is a hunter! He searches for his food high and low. We have found things from the refrigerator, pantry and cabinets spread out on the counters. He does all this in stealth before anyone wakes up. It is like he has set out a buffet line with all his favorites. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate milk, really anything that is sweet or might be sweet. After weeks of this we decided to put James on the Feingold diet. Here is a picture after we found he had pillaged a cabinet.
Little Emeril, Bam!
My kids seem to have a sweet tooth like their momma. I gave Cate a bowl of some yummy peach cobbler I made the other night and went to feed Jesse. Normally if Cate has food she is content for a while. She saw some of the ingredients that were still out on the counter and decided to kick it up a few notches. I think she saw what she thought was sugar. Nope not sugar. It was salt. A lot of salt. I wish I could have seen her take her first bite after she made her improvements.
Whore Barbie
As my six year old, Emma and I were cleaning up this morning I found this on the floor. I think Mattel has some competition coming with this new Barbie doll. Whore Barbie will be seen on every street corner soon. Emma is such a girl! She loves wearing dresses whenever she can. She would love to wear beautiful shoes. She loves to wear jewelry. She would love to wear makeup all the time, but we try to limit it to special occasions. Emma has recently taken to sprucing up her stuffed animals that are too plain looking. She added some serious eyelashes and decorative hair pieces to her dog, Mary Louise. So Barbie was too plain to her I guess. I would hate to think what she thinks of mommy and how makeup rarely is on my face. We now have the rule no coloring on your toys. Maybe we should have a rule about keeping our dolls clothed too.
All I have to say is Emma isn’t allowed to wear any makeup till she is out of the house.
